I have just been looking on the USA site and reading about the 750 weldless frame kit and was wondering if anyone fairly local to me had one fitted that I could possibly look at. I am in Dewsbury, West Yorks.
Cheers Chris.

Not sure my fix was what you are looking for as it required a fair pile of welding. Easy for me to do as I have a TIG welder in the workshop. You can see the results on this thread http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,8188.msg53869.html#msg53869 (http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,8188.msg53869.html#msg53869) It wasn't a bought in package, all home made. Works very well though.
The reason I didn't go with the bought in kit was that I couldn't find one that retains the triangular cross bracing. They say it doesn't need it, but in reality that triangular piece adds a lot of torsional strength to stop the steering head rotating in relation to the swingarm pivot under cornering load. They say racers run these frames without the bottom tube in (to ease engine access at the track), but race tracks don't have British Gas road reapairs and general maintenance neglect mid corner. Honda didn't fit the bracing for a laugh, its there for a reason.
I would be hesitant to fit one of those kits without the bracing.

Moorey, there is a previous thread. Search for " frame kit ".
here's a photo of the one I made.

Thanks for the pics and links. The more I look the more it looks wrong to me, as said Honda wouldn't put bracing around the headstock if it wasn't needed. The spine tube itself isn't exactly big and I don't think mechanical fixings will be as rigid. I would like to see two frames on a test bed and load them up around the headstock to see the difference.

Could anyone tell me the inside of that frame tubing in centimeters?

These look like they could do a job as long as the spigots are a good tight fit. http://andrewsmotorsports.mybigcommerce.com/andrews-motorsports-honda-cb750-sohc-1969-1978-frame-custom-tube-connectors/
Thoughts please.

Yeah I looked at those, they sell on eBay as well. Top quality but still doesn't address the frame triangulation issue. Remember they are a motor
sports company and this is not really intended for road use.
