well my 500 has gone to a new home so now bikeless. not sure if I will get another or not so might have some spares to sell. Was great meeting Graham and Julie (Trigger and nurse Julie) and I know its in good hands. will still be around the forum though in case I get another!

Being bikeless is my worst nightmare, Hope you can cope, sans bike. A cb500/4 will be a hard act to follow though I found an Ntv650 to be fun to ride and nearly zero maintenence with that legendary Honda Quality and cheap insurance. Doesn't look half as good though.

The bikes I can afford I don't like, the ones I like I cant afford!

Know that feeling ....

I so know that feeling, but there are the odd cheap gems out there, my NTV was £380 with 4 months of tax and test still on it and has needed only tyres and fuel plus a set of fork seals. Buy ratty, enjoy riding, only bit you can see when riding is the clocks and mirrors.

Can always bring my engine for you to work on Mick.

We met two very nice members in one day...Colin from Leeds, who had very kindly gone out of his way to pick up a frame for us many weeks ago and stored it until we moved and Mick from Scunthorpe. The roads up this end of the country are a real pleasure to drive on, not a traffic jam in sight anywhere !!!. Mick, your old bike will be well looked after as you have obviously done in the past. Great meeting you both.

Good result all round. Nice roads. Jealous!

Good on you Mick. Not on my resto list but I know about 4 people who have restored them and they love 'em. Strong user group too. Plus yours are early. Are you going to do a warts and all resto log on here? I find it really useful and spurs you on to 'get on with it'.

haven't decided what to do with them yet, I really wanted a roadworthy cheaper bike as I don't get much free time, so will assess things once I get them home.

There is a fella who rides up the cafe i go to, he has an early goldwing the naked one, the more i look at them the more i want one , the trouble is my want list of bikes is huge, and come to think of it the already have list is bloody huge as well, anyway good luck with the wings i hope you decide to see it through getting a good one out of the two and have it on the road
