Yep indicators and tail light but still a nice bike though.

I know nothing about 500's, but the paint on the tank doesn't look right to me?

See what you mean about the paint. Black panel isn't straight on the tank.

Says the bike is untouched. Looks to me like its been restored at some point in the past. Also, should the header pipes be double skinned as they are well blued? Not a bad bike though, and if it actually goes for 4k not too bad a price either.

Seat cover, front fender, rear fender (mudflap missing), tank decals seriously misaligned, wrong carbs, wrong horn, tach cable-guide missing, wrong engine bolts, oil seepage... just a few things standing out right away...

Those hideous shot-glass turn-signal lenses are a genuine German monstrosity... dunno what their TUV was thinking there...

At first glance it seems ok apart from tank decals, but as you guys mention it is not as pure as they want you to think
Kind of reminds me a few years back i was looking for an early z900, everytime i spotted one on ebay that looked real nice i referred to the Kawasaki forums and every bike i seemed to like was shot down in flames for being wrong in so many ways, it just shows you have to do your research before buying something clean and shiney that states it is untouched / original  or perfect

Some fine areas are evident, but you'll have to tear it down and start over again to get it right, probably spending just as much as called for in the ad...

It is obviously very difficult to get the lines on the tank the proper way. :o

Probably some regulations/code that turn signals have to be visible at xx degrees from the side (also see side-indicators on front fender of cars), so the genuine Stanley lenses didn't find mercy in the eye of some stubborn TUV engineer ;-)

The Netherlands? Not really. Only in Germany. Rear light and Turnsignal unit.

In The Netherlands they were like in England.
