Any part number as I can't find it in the parts book, thought it was on the headstock but doesn't show it.

Same as 550K3 i think if its a neiman lock and on that one the spring comes with the lock,

Somewhere on the frame page but the 400 parts book is a nightmare to use

I've got one of DSS, trouble is I've lost the spring somewhere before I even fitted it , and I can't find a new spring without buying the whole unit, maybe I could try a toy maker lol?

I've found a spring in my box of bits and it looks the part.

It's around 17mm long with a bore of around 10mm, looks very similar to the pic of the DS one. Anyone confirm the dimensions are right?

Hi Trigger
Well that's what I call precision! How Oddjob is going to measure the diameter I don't know but if it looks right it probably is?

The one I have matches those specs, it’s a quite light spring, narrow wire and tbh it’s been sat in my bits and bobs box inside my toolbox since I worked at Queens Park Motors, must have replaced a steering lock at sometime and I’d always keep bits like that as a just in case part.

The bits and bobs box has loads of switch parts etc and I knew I’d seen something like that in there when I’ve been looking for stuff, load of CBX550 stuff in it from when I broke one right out of the crate, just small bits like cam cover bolts and stuff.

If you want it then it’s yours my friend foc, send me your address and I’ll pop it in the post.
