Happy new year Rob and to all listening your project seems to be flying along I wish i could work at your pace. P.S. are they TZ G spec Rotors/discs you have on the front ? I only have one on my TZ350 with a lockheed caliper and that is plenty good enough , my friend raced a tz750 in the 80's with the same discs and lockheed calipers he never complained about stopping. Have you tried asking Geoff Davenport he operates from the long defunkt Tom Collins's workshop off boundry road i think and has worked in the motorcycle trade since i was a teenager which was more years ago than i care to remember, I have found him to be helpfull and friendly, if nothing comes up on the tinternet ask him, there is a chroming place off jackson st sthelens but i have never used them, what you have to remember with chrome is that what you see before is what you get after only shiney as chrome is only microns/thou's thick and will fill no surface inperfections try talking to old british bike restorers as they know all the "wrinkles" one point though if you go for a new rim dont bin your old one as you may need it for reference or want original in the future p.s. smoothrite is good if sprayed just try and keep cost etc in perspective and try and keep your honda regardless of its originality and condition a usable classic cheers peter

I have had trouble in the past with the electrics on my pr mostly due to verdgres(not sure of the spelling) or copper corrosion.my honda cut out twice in holland ,everything dead. pooped myself so far from home but each time when left for a while cured itself , i traced it back to the ignition switch which was full of green muck,i may have been partly to blame for using two 100w headlight bulbs and overloading the wiring as the lights are crap in the dark, anyway a friend of mine who is a master in the black arts fitted two relays from a mk3 escort and the problem did not reoccur the bikes been off the road for quite some time so the wiring is one area that i will have to spend some time on before i trust it on long journeys. does anyone makes new looms for the f2? cheers peter

Hi Rob I have noticed that your mikuni carb is a high performance carb for a Hardly ableto so i can estimate in top gear with full boost on the turbo you should hit at least 55mph Peter

Hi Don i have made some baffle parts but some idiot(the boss) keeps giving me work to do i'm on nights soon so will try and make some more progress i'm working 12 hour shifts at the moment but i will post pictures etc when i get chance, cheers peter

Hi Ste, your engine looks spot on, at first i thought it was the after effects of voxhonda's atempt to turbocharge a sohc . R.E exhaust i have machined some of the internal baffle plates on a cnc lathe and was going to try and roll the sheet metal required but a good friend in work (who is mustard at sheetmetalwork) said he would do it for me so as soon as he gets on with it i will post some pictures cheers pete

Hi Rob, I think the turbocharger is likely to fill your engine full of valves and pieces of moltern pistons, I'm no turbo expert but i think the compression needs to be lowered and a 'safe' rev limit set to avoid turning your Honda engine into a minature Blast furnace.Good luck with your venture and let us know how you get on Cheers Peewee

What can i say but a big thanks Steve for all your trouble ,I should have more than enough info to reproduce the PR end can. I will try to take some pictures of its developement and post them on this website, i was lucky enough to pick up some as new original downpipes for my F2 which i have been after. for for a long time so i'm running out of excuses not to get it back on the road. p.s. taking my 89 exup 1000 trackbike for a thrash around Cadwell tomorrow if i get home in one piece i will start exhaust next week . once again thanks.

Hi Ste sorry for the slow reply due to the buisiest weekend in my memory went to the I.O.M to watch practice (and piss up)for the manx ferry to heysham home by 1.30 am sat then to Wembly 5.30am same day back from wembly for mates sat night flat warming (and piss up),home at 6.00am sun and out at 11.00 am for christening (and piss up), monday just never happened as the matchsticks under my eyes gave in to leave me in a coma that George Best would have been proud of P.S. has anyone got a liver and a large packet of pro plus for sale peewee

Hi Dave There is one for sale on ebay listed as a gl 1000 master cylinder with the part number,he says it will fit the f2 and it looks similar to mine but it aint cheap good luck peter
