I would like to fit alloy fork caps to my CR750 replca, they are available in the states at a price but I wondered if alloy caps from another bike might fit, it's a long shot but is anyone aware of alloy caps from another model fitting CB750 forks?.

For those interested in CR750's etc Dave Perry of Classic Racing Hondas will be at the Brighton speed trials with a some of his CR replicas and alloy tanked café racers, loads of bikes (and cars) taking part in this timed event, here's a photo of Tommy Robb (one of the first non Japanese riders to be hired by the Honda factory race team) on one of Dave's creations, should be a good event.

My fuse holder is causing a voltage drop of almost 1 volt at the main fuse, the terminals on the back of the box itself are very badly corroded so its beyond repair, the David Silver price is £43 and they are out of stock , does anyone have one in good condition for sale or know of an alternative supplier?, cheers Mark

I have decided not to have an ignition switch on my CR replica, I have an isolator switch near the battery to kill the electrics, here is a picture of the plug that goes into the original ignition switch, please could someone tell me which wires I should connect together so that the ignition is always on, electrics aren't my strong point!

Anyone needing jets might want to try NRP ( www.nrp-carbs.co.uk) Tel 0161 832 8646, I bought a set of mains from them today, £4.24 each, that's half the David Silver price, also they are carb specialists and can offer advice.

Do not use Flash Custom Paintwork , Clay Cross, next to CMC bikes, I gave my CR750 fairing/tank/seat to Dale Newbold approx 7 weeks ago, he promised to finish the job within 2 weeks, since then I had excuse after excuse, lie after lie, delay after delay, he is never at the unit, ignores texts/calls/emails, total and utter waste of space, I finally got my parts back today, all in primer, he has done the same to many others, even the owner of the unit was pulling his hair out because he couldn't get into his own unit and couldn't get hold of Dale, today I finally got my parts back after the coward left the keys under a bin outside the unit, I got my parts and returned the keys to the unit owner (he wont be giving them back Dale in a hurry but will return parts to their owners, he runs Compass Motorcycle Training if you need him), so to be clear Dale Newbold, Flash Custom Paintwork, has no connection to CMC bikes or Compass Motorcycle Training, he is a sole trader that rents his unit, he is a compulsive liar and totally untrustworthy, steer well clear!!.

Can anyone tell me what size/amperage battery cable I need, I'm fitting the battery under the seat hump but the starter solenoid will be at the rear of the fuel tank so the run from the battery to solenoid will be a little longer than standard. Also does the earth cable have to go to the RH engine mounting bolt as it does on the standard K7, or will anywhere on the frame be ok?, cheers Mark.

I think I remember a post a while back where someone had fitted progressive springs but complained that it made his front suspension too firm for his liking, that's what I need for my CR, does anyone have a pair they want to sell?, cheers Mark.

It's time to sort the electrics, unfortunately I'm rubbish at this sort of thing, I am fitting a combined regulator rectifier, the rectifier side of things seems simple enough, it just plugs in and the wires match up colour for colour in the loom and unit plugs, but on the new unit I have just a black and a white wire for the regulator, the original Honda regulator has 3 wires, black, white and green, I think that the new unit should be connected black to black and white to white with the green wire just being ignored/not used, is this correct?, sorry if this is a dumb question but electrics are a mystery to me!, any help much appreciated, cheers Mark.
PS the new unit was supplied by Brooks barn and is a 30amp, 7 wire, 3 phase regulator/rectifier, SMR-09

Does anyone have for sale or know of a UK supplier of bell mouths for K7 carbs, there are lots of suppliers on Ebay in the states but I'd rather keep it to the UK if possible, cheers Mark.
