Main problem used to be the pivot pin siezing

Its not a model that is appreciating at the moment and some original parts are hard to come by but it was a good bike and with history and if you like it plus the price is right go for it

OK just to show me age

First, RE Crusader 250 bought in bits with a big end gone, rebuilt many times when assorted things broke or fell off, travelled 1,000 miles and even "chopped" it at the end.

Worst:- From cost point Triumph T150 bought as a wreck to turn into a racing Kneeler but never ran despite lodsa money wasted.

From heartache point The Honda No 36 in avatar bought for me by my then Gilfriend, now wife, in the States for my 50th and trashed by some little ar*ehole who set fire to it

From reliability CB750F2 that kept needing loadsa work, including valve guides at 25,000, just a bad one ---Even Honda do the occasional one

Dave Silver sells BSM and Marchall did a deeptone one that sounds good,
Whichever you order make sure you get the correct one for the frame as there are 3 different silencer/centerstand brackets

If it is it has to be an import as no sandcasts came directly to UK, what does the logbook say

Actually the crank pins only have two steps, its the cases and rods that have 3
Main journal case max 1.4182 min 1.4173; pin max 1.2992 min 1.2983 so thats a total variation of 0.0009 on the case and pin sizes, count the 0's after the point its not even 1 thousandth.

variation:- big hole small pin is 0.1199
small hole big pin is 0.1181

so MAXIMUM TOTAL is 0.0018 or 1.8 THOUSANDTHS in which Honda supply 4 different shell sizes

Mind blowing the machining and measuring acuracy of the japanese isnt it

Try fitting 500 manifolds as the head end is the same but the spacing is different

10035
It ought to come from the rearset manufacturer as it is bike specific, but yo could adapt a rear brake pedal if you didnt want it pretty and chromed
