See what you’ve done there Tim, you’ve woken it up haven’t you

Here’s that joke I told Ken the other night when we were having a chuckle on the phone.

“How do you know ET comes from Stockport?”

“Because he looks like he does!”

Made I laugh

It’s not like there are any special tools required………..except patience. I’ll get her all buttoned up and prod the start button later

Before Ken gets in and refers to you as "that special tool".....

Well done mate I think I would have spat the dummy well before.

Had a similar situation with putting a table circular saw back together last week. Table would not bolt down on the base and there was a gap of about 7mm that would not close up.Turns out there was a couple of locating bracketts with a spigot that keyed into the saw unit itself, allowing the blade tilt function.  They were upside down! I was well pissed mucking about for over an hour taking it to bits and reassembling. Then my lad pipes up and points out the issue. That was after me giving it "I've been alive along time and know these things". It really racks him off so I constantly  say it but boy did he enjoy thay one!

Good luck with the next start Roo. Had a near miss bidding for anon running VF500 as my next project. Honda were onto something when they tried all engine configurations and reckoned v4 the most suitable for a bike. Pity they are so complicated but at least wecan benefit now from a design that was too good andexpensive to be commercially competitive. Start you bugger!

VF500 is a sweet bike. Love em!

Top work you capable man!

I would say the fact gasket special order is a direct result of how reliable those things are. Nobody needs to take them apart because they don't break!

At the start of the summer i had to replace a front tyre on Julie's CB550 but, the rear tyre has loads of meat on it. When out for a ride today and she was on her CB500 Four. As i was putting the bikes away, i noticed the front tyre on her CB500 was looking worn out. Took a measurement of the tread and she has got it down to 1.3mm in 3000 miles and , the rear has a ton of tread left on it. This must be down to her riding style  :o

I had a look at some of my bikes and my CB750K6 that i have done 6000 miles since fitting a new pair of  ;)tyres  ;)
Same riding style of MM93,

LOAD the front tyre  dive hard into the corner, point and squirt.
Even with my front brake, I still do 2 rear to on front

Ah yes, Marc Márquez, I taught him well 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That's what I was thinking Julie. Shot yourself in the foot there Trig. I can just see the High Res Slow Motion of Julie ripping across the Wolds. Standing it on it's nose with the rear wheel in the air. All on a single pot brake too.

You tease!

I've been trying to prize the info out of John for weeks now Tim with no luck 😁😁😁

Maybe a round of 20 questions is in order? ;)
I can answer 2 questions as John has told me 1, it's a Honda and 2, it's between 300 and 500cc 😁😁😁

In the middle 408cc perhaps?
