Hi,
If the frame steering head is the same as the 400/4, the complete front end of a 400N will fit straight in complete with twin discs, but this gives a 19in front wheel, but there are 18in wheels that fit, bthe rear needs two made to measure distance pieces to fit the rear wheels.

It isn't Corvid, it is old age creeping up, when you are young and you needed a doorway in a wall. you got a hammer and made one taking the results as they happened, as you get older, you tend to spend days thinking of the possible downside and results of your actions, but you know deep down you still need the hammer.

It is almost impossible to keep a machine totally dry in a damp surroundings, temperature changes "suck" air in and out over many time cycles,  often the cause of water in engine sumps, you still can't beat dry storage, whether heated or not. The vacuum is as good as you will get, we use them for storing bedding and clothing in our caravan during the winter shut-down.

I use a small scissor type stand as I have exactly the same problems as you, but I have cut to shape a thick piece of wood to sump size, put a hole in it to clear the sump plug, I then wood screwed it to the top scissor platform. It keeps the weight off the tyres and suspension during storage and helps with maintenance. It clears my 4 into 1 and reverse megga exhaust exhaust and sticky out bits nicely.

Humour / I feel so old
« on: February 27, 2021, 02:39:21 PM »
I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement, new knees, I've fought off diabetes and prostrate cancer, I'm 1/2 blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine, I take 40 different medications that leave me dizzy, winded and subject to blackouts. I have bouts of dementia, my circulation is so poor I cannot feel my feet and hands and I can't remember if I am 85 or 89 years  old, and I have lost all my old mates, but hey, thank goodness, I still have my motorbike license.

Is it possible to assemble the motor castings only and apply some water pressure to the cooling system and check for any leaks?
