CB750 / Re: K1/2 Seats?
« on: May 17, 2018, 08:16:07 AM »
Hello.
I wish to fit my K1 with a repro Guilairi seat.
However it appears that these seats are only available
For K2 models onwards.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the K1 & K2 seats.
Is it just the catch/lock? Would it just be a case of using a K2
Seat lock which I believe just clamps round the frame,?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Sean.

Yes, the difference is the seat lock.

You will need to change your Ko/K1 seat catch for a K2-K6 part. Easy job, its srewed onto the frame.

You cant just change the hook on the Giuliari for a K1 hook because it will not fit the K1 catch by about 2cm

Looks like a conversion gearbox to convert the speedo reading from kph to mph or vice versa.

Thats a German K2 and  a German girl (Believe me, I can see that, in any case def. not an UK girl...).
So no need to convert anything.

You keep pulling rabbits out of the sack Uli..... You don't have any CB72 silencers in there do you  :) :)

Not realy silent, but what about those from the racing kit, Ash?

The difference is: in that museum the exhaust rotted with the time but at DS he put a a bike with a rotted exhaust into the museum.
