Had my lower engine case returned from the engineering shop with the snapped cam tensioner bolt removed, redrilled with the Ebay replacement. All good

found the original tube and the bolt fits fine.

Must be the second hand tube I bought.

Is the bolt zinc plated?

Hi,

so I thought I put the bronze/brass bushes in the swing arm (I did soak them in oil for 3 days, not sure is if it makes a difference?).
I then slid the hollow tube in by hand, tight fit so great.
I then cleaned the swing arm bolt and I thought I try it in the swing arm tube for any play, damn thing gets stuck. I think the swing arm tube is bent???????? Is that possible. You cane see by the pictures that from one side the bolt goes through quite away before binding, the other bonds straight away!
It's not the original one and cant put my hand on the one I removed yet, as soon as I will, i'll try it.

PS, is the bolt zinc plated?

Hmmm, I recall a comment 'just bolt it all on now!

'just bolt on'...…….that's a dream I have then I wake up to the reality.

Anyhow, ignoring the engine, my first step is to get a new VIN PLATE.

any suggestions?

I've ordered one as well but have an engineering firm do it for me as they need to remove the broken bolt first. Hopefully get some pictures when done.

Nurse, nurse...….yes, its an assumption that the bores are ok, I need to somehow beg, borrow or steal a measuring device to check the internals.

next on my slop chit. I still cleaning bits and bobs and have to make a place for the frame which should be due back by the end of the month.

gotta work on the TL soon as well...….

Hi,

just had one of the pistons measured and looks like a standard 51mm piston. As suggested before, do I got straight in the 0.50 mm over size for a rebore or the 0.25mm?

Thanks
