CB750 / Re: Spark Plug

I've been using Denso X-24ES-U plugs in my 750F1 since I got the bike on the road after rebuild around 2008i sh and they work a lot better than the NGK's now that you can't get the proper ones (D8ES-L).

Not a computor or health and safety man in sight, and it probably works just as well.

CB750 / Re: Neutral light issue
« on: March 04, 2023, 10:03:00 AM »
Had problems with the neutral light on my 750F1 staying on not long after I bought it in 1976, tried everything to fix it to no avail, in the end I taped over the light and ignored it. It wasn't until 2005 or so when I did a total strip down and inspected the harness that I found a chafed wire was causing the problem.
I also have to select neutral before I come to a halt, otherwise when I am stationary I have to hit the kill the engine, select neutral and start up again.

I remember when doing mine I used Humbrol H19 but was told that originally they were orange.

Renewed the battery on my 750 F1 last year, it was new in 2008, replaced it with the usual Yuasa one.

Good video, that's pretty much how I set them up except I use a battery and a bulb, here's my high tech gear.

No problems, it's too damp and cold in the garage for me to do any work anyway.

If 750f2 then not worth a great deal I’m afraid, I have a no’s pair and a decent pair and can’t find a buyer for them.
I'm looking for a decent pair for my F2 don't need anything fancy, PM me with details please.

CB750 / Re: CB750 SOHC F1 Luggage options

Annoyingly I had one on my F1 and binned it when I got a car as the bike was then for sunny days out only.
I have not seen one the same since

NSU Quickly that brings back some memories, my first powered vehicle and my first crash, into a Ford Escort, my dad fixed it up no proble (forks).
The bike was my dad's old one and I got to use it as he had by then bought an NSU Quick 50.

We once went down to Duxford for a couple of days in 2010, stayed at the Duxford lodge, had a great time, you could probably spend longer there as there is so much to see.
Here's me doing a Biggles impression.
