CB750 / Best Rims
« on: August 01, 2019, 01:59:20 PM »
The chrome on the rear wheel rim of my 750 K1 has worn down to dull metal, i guess through enthusiastic polishing over 50 years. What is the best new rim and stainless spokes to buy, or should i rechrome the original DID rim?

CB750 / Oil Pressure Switch
« on: July 29, 2019, 04:33:02 PM »
Your input would be appreciated with my problem. Before starting my 750 K1 from cold, the oil light is not illuminating, but when it is warmed up after a run the light works normally, i.e. switch the engine off with the kill switch and the light comes on, start it up again and the light goes out immediately. With the engine cold and ignition on, i can take the cable off the pressure switch and touch it to earth and the light will illuminate, so it looks like the switch is faulty.
My question is can the switch be dissmantled and fixed, at the moment finances are a bit tight.

Did you get an answer last time....dont forget the rest of us must have dementia setting in too 🙄🙄🙄
Sort of, still not sure if the cam carrier bearings are pressure lubed or splash fed.

Thanks,
Adrian.

Is there any way of telling if the jets are blocked or on the way to getting blocked without removing the engine ? do the jets provide a splash feed to all parts under the cam cover ? is it possible to see the jets in action through the tappet covers while running ? Many questions i know, but i'm getting paranoid, i adjusted the tappets about three hundred miles ago, and i can now hear them again, i will check them again to see if they have altered.

As they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", or "one man's meat is another man's poison" ;), the looks of the Interceptor is right up my street.
 I wonder what florence thinks.

For that money why not go for something new, you can have one of these for £5500 and comes with a three year warranty.
