 ;) i must ride like a pussy my four cb750 k0's give just over fifty to the gallon
my sidecar unit is a bit thirsty but im sure that is doing well over forty to the gallon
i rarely go over seventy and prefer cruising at fifty to sixty and always go for long runs

 ;) why dont you just run the bike with just  the pull cable .
i have done this for years with no problems in fact the action is a lot lighter with one cable anyway. go on you know it makes sense lol

I can see some fumes coming from the (sealed) battery;

i would say your battery is toast and get a new one any voltage reading under 12.6 and the battery has had its day in my book

You forgot to add ugly. That's easily the worst looking of all the CB750's.
;) yes totally agree honda had lost the plot by then ,there was a lot nicer and faster bikes to be had like the cbx1000 and cb900 not to mention what the competition was churning out.

That is PN 12238-300-300 jet Ash, that is the most common jet fitted from 1971 to the finish.
good boy trigg
 ;) we got a mate a rite know it all (we even call him the philosopher to this day) this was in the 70's he had a jock Kerr tuned f1 it was quick at the time but the top end run dry of oil,so he thought he would get more oil to the camshaft
anyways he decided to drill out the oil jets ,on restarting the rebuilt bike it lost the oil pressure to the mains and big ends and was junk ,after returning the bike too jock Kerr the guy went crackers and wiped the floor with him lol(the innocence of youth)

Almost anything is better than the originals
i have too agree with green1i paid £180 for a set of originals utter rubbish out of the box but they do look nice and shiny,i was out on the very same bike today it was like a bouncy castle also the brake disc pads i fitted was crap not sure if they was genuine honda probably not, i nearly run into the back of a car near abergaveny, so ive just come in from garage after fitting a set of gilring pads and i can stop again now, the  japs made awesome engines but they could not get the handling sorted like us britts
