yes it is chromed ,....I spotted it on ebay and thought that it might look good on the F2,...put in a bid and won.
it's far from original but I like it and might leave it on

they are a nice bike ashD,....I love riding the one I have,
one comment about the bike I thought was unusual was a reference to the transparent front brake master
cylinder,when he said,sadly,..(you don't get those anymore on todays bikes)

bike got through it's mot yesterday with only a minor advisory and that was a too tight chain !.
what was interesting was the amount of attention the bike got from the garage mechanics while it was parked up
outside waiting its turn to go in,they kept on coming out to have a look....the chief tester was glad to see it and he had a huge smile on his face as he said it cheered his day up to test it instead of the usual Bandits,yams and quacks .etc,
what was suprising was the questions I was getting about the bike,..like,. what was it,-what year-,what cc,-was it a f1,f2,-was it original,
it was almost as if they hadn't seen a F2 before,...but come to think about it neither have i and while i have the bike I have never seen another one in north Yorkshire.
the final comment came from another biker who passed the comment that these were the bikes to get and keep insteasd of the present day rubbish on offer today.

a very appropriate nickname for me Bitsa,  ...cos most times out on the bike I seemed I travelled further on my ass than I did on the bike,..i never ever managed to learn the skill of getting around corners at 60mph that any sane man would attempt at 40 or 50mph, I still feel the pain now of splinters of farmers fencing and hawthorns sticking in me and tarmac stuck to backside...["Tarmac roads I just love em!! tarmac

Bitsa,...got some news for you!!...went ahead and bought the Generator cover from ebay and got it yesterday.
and there appears to be no difference between both of them, even the part number,...as there isn't a part number??.
that does not make sense,but could'nt find one!!
any way when the weather improves i'll get around to fitting it proper as at the moment I have only offered it up for comparison.

Bitsa,... not only did I hit the tarmac regular,i also went through a few hawthorn hedges during my ill spent youth, but not only did I slide very well I got quite good at it. regards terry
