Interchangeability / Alternative 550 engine« on: January 16, 2017, 07:12:38 PM »
Hi...I think my bike is a 76 f1 USA import.
I have the chance of a second engine to use or to use as spares for the right money. It's a 78 k3 ? Will it fit. Will bits be mostly interchangeable Thanks in advance Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 153

Hi....I've dug down to my circlip...or what's left of it.
Any tips for getting it out. It won't budge if I try to prize it...the holes and lugs are buggered, Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 155

Are you planing on having rear mudguard?, if so I would retain your one and cut down to suit, keep road debris off your back. As with most will state, take many pics of strip down and keep everything labelled, you may need some parts etc from the stripped stuff. Looks like a good starting project, but be warned it can be very expensive and sometimes you will become overloaded with ideas and downbeat when things don't fit etc. Keep at it but don't rush it, ps these bikes are heavy, especially the engine have someone to help when your taking the engine out. Good luck Thanks for the tips....cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 157
