Hey,
Never heart of JAPAUTO?, where one of the biggest 'French'honda dealers and tuned some beautiful endurance racers in the '70 and '80's. This one won the 24 hour of the Bol d'or in the early 70's: Look at the ignition cover. I bought it in France through the Japauto Club. Quote Could they be the same as F2 springs, my manual says F2 specs are: Good evening JonnyB, That could well be, think the F1 was 'a step up' to the F2, although in my opinion the F2 was not as reliable as it's predecessor. Thanks, Rob 172

Quote Voxonda wrote: Hey Johnny, That's odd, your figures are the same as what is in my '74 Workshop Owners Manual, but.......I measured the inner springs 40.1 mm, and the outer springs at 43 mm! With the help of a friend, who own's a shop in Holland specialized in SOHC's, we found in a supplement, of a '76 WOM about the F1 engines, that the springs are indeed longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well that's sorted. The fairing is a copy of the ones sold by Airtech in the USA, but I bought it in France. Personally I like it better then the one from Mead Speed. Quote Hi Rob, Hello John, This is a picture of a few months ago. It's a K2 frame which I have strengthed and lightened a bit. Front fork is of a 750DOHC because of the better mounting possibility for the front brakes, which are now GRIMECA, which lookalike the Lockheed on the back. On the picture are Brembo's. Front wheel is a SMAC 18\" magnesium wheel, which I am not going to use because of the age of the wheel. Magnesium tend to corrode over the years and the possible cracking of the wheel doesn't appeal to me. Use it just for 'static' showing. Have a Kim Tap alloy wheel in front now. On the back is a German RONAL wheel. Have build a square section swingarm myself. This is the Kim Tap 19\" front wheel Have made a lot of pictures of the building process. Quote Rob, Hello Jim, The Spa weekend is held over 3 days, 29 & 30th of June and 1st of July. It is not really a race but more of a 'memorial' for the bikes, and riders from the past. Regards, Rob |
