cant say I have heard of them but I am about 30 miles away.....

In two minds about painting would like to keep one item original state put back on bike

I may polish and wax after I have a look in daylight inside the tank... no idea what its like on the inside

Not convinced this is correct, went to put the front hoses today, should the top hose to master cylinder be this tight ?

dug out an old pic of when I took bike apart and looks tight there to .... is this correct ?

do you guys reckon its wrong length hose as non standard master cylinder was fitted

also unclear where master cylinder should bolt to on the bars

sounds hopeful, i was worried the petrol would do same sort of damage its done to carbs, not sure on  inside yet but will post up some pics for you to see

going to post up some photos of the  tank, very original tank but sat untouched for at least 2o years if not more

all there ,would like to keep original paint , has a few hairline cracks but overall not bad looking

So petrol inside what problems am i likely to come up against and cures

ie tank and petrol tap ?

is there a guide to building a good café racer..... I would like one like my dads but a lot of money now around 10k I would guess, but the cb seems a perfect bike to make into a cafe

My dad was into these and I can remember being on the back of one.......

Why do I fancy one now ..... well had a shot of one recently and it felt right, cant put it into words apart from fun.

Been to a few shows with the guys and had some good weekends away with them.... ideally would love to go to the tt's one day on one ...... one day

still learning every day, going on a welding course soon which I hope will help a bit

so looking at café racer bikes.

 My late dad had one back in the 60s and so wish i knew what happened to it........

anyway if you was to recommend one to a friend.... already built what would you recommend and why?

sure my dads was based on either a trident or triton ... unsure which one but close to that

anybody ever use jb weld..... decided not to drill frame and use tis bond instead

would I have to remove a small bit of powdercoat with a file to get bare metal to bare metal contact?

ok so doing the screw jets looks I am missing 2 parts, checked and double checked and I cant see them in the carbs, thought it could feel something in no 4 carb but the metal washer came out so taking it rubber washer totally gone , metal washer missing from no 1

so  I have carb rebuild kits (4 of course)

so where can I get 1 small washer

also in the carb rebuild kit 5 o rings ? so far I have came across 1 needed
