I had a CB350K4 with the TLS front brake and wasn't too impressed with it. I found the single disc set up much better.

There are few wheel builders left but I found Mersey Motorcycles, Derby Road, Bootle in Liverpool.
It's a traditional old style bike shop and he's been there for years. They rebuilt the rear wheel on my 550 and did an excellent job. I could have had stainless spokes and rim if I wanted but I settled for a basic chrome rim with standard spokes which were supplied by Hagon. Total bill was 266

We're nearly there.
The wheel's fitted and the exhaust just needs it's gaskets fitting and everything tightening up. Looking better by the day! ![]() 267

My wheel is now ready and I'm picking it up tomorrow.
Despite only having 2 hands I've managed to fit my new Marshall Deepthroat system but my exhaust gaskets are stuck in the post. Thanks guys! 269

I never realised you needed at least 4 hands to fit a new exhaust!
Got it all connected up and hand tight so I can figure out how to make a bracket for the silencer. Couldn't resist starting the engine to have a listen though! Sounds rather good if you ignore the blow from the head where the gaskets are missing. Should sound nice on the road. |
