CB750 / NGK spark plug problems
« on: March 07, 2013, 05:28:38 PM »
Just bought some iridium NGK plugs for my CB750 K5 to try and help with the cold start probs
Anyone had any experiences with these are they compatable ?
Seems my bike runs very badly and floods with these in and when I put the normal ones in it runs a lot better !
These plugs are 4x more expensive as well !!

Any feed back much appreciated

Will be sending them back if they are no good for the old gal

Cheers

Hi
I have had the same problem over the last few day s
I had fitted an electronic ignition last year and used bullett connections
One had be come loose and the bike started on two cylinders then when warmed up
If it kept running the other two came on song
I soldered all the coil wires and touch wood it's been fine
Hope yours is ok

I've had probs starting before and moved the needles up one slot which mad some difference but over the winter she seems to be messing about again im stripping the carbs again and would like the definitive slot when i come to strip them again

Thanks again

CB750 / Avon road rider problems
« on: February 12, 2013, 05:00:45 PM »
Hi
Thought I'd treat my bike to a new set of tyres for summer ,I have roadrunner on it at have ordered some road riders  from tyre tec at £142 for the pair
I've been waiting for about 3 weeks now as Avon are having problems with the tread cracking on them 120/90/18
I've spoken to the company today and the chap on the phone said he would contact them ASAP and get the lowdown ,just don't want to be messed about if they are available .
I like the look of the tyre but anyone have a good idea for an alternative just in case I can't get them

Cheers

Thanks
That's helps I thought I wasn't going mad . Ill make a bracket up so it stops the stand from catching
I have a shortened pipe on mine so all the original stuff has been cut off

Thanks again

CB750 / Centre stand catches chain
« on: January 26, 2013, 04:49:27 PM »
Hi
Looking at finally the chain on my 750
It looks like when the centre stand goes up it will catch on the chain
Is there meant to be a stop on the stand bracket ? As I never had the stand before
I bought the frame with the stand and my other 750 hasn't a centre stand so I can't look at that
Anyone got any photos u can put on of the chain / stand set up ?

Thanks
