Thanks for pointing subscription out.
The only place it would fit is inside foam of the seat, anywhere else is surrounded by the metal, so will interfere with mobile reception.

My racing bike has no battery and it is so much easier to nick, again same problem where to hide it...

Following the link on that page takes you to this page, which seems to be the same item from a different seller:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oxford-Tracker-GPS-EL120/dp/B00TQXO92C/ref=pd_sim_sbs_201_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=31zmsLHRlTL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1EP09BQTND3HGRN67160
The latter page has the full subscription details - the 'from £3/month' quoted only works if you take out the 5 year plan at £180.
There is also the issue of where to hide it on a bike - where were you thinking of putting it?

There seems to be so many bike's nicked every day that I am considering this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Tracking-Device-Battery-Tracker/dp/B017WDF5CA/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1451739005&sr=8-8&keywords=motorbike+tracking+gps+security

It's def expensive at £200 but much cheaper than over two years spent in garage...

I like it as it doesn't need battery and even if it last for 5 years that would be ace.

Slowly, finishing my bike and realized that few bolts are missing or are wrong lengths or are in pretty sorry state.
Can same one recommend supplier of bolts and copper washers.
I'm not particularly bothered if its original type of bolt or allen but I like to have them proper lengths and my local metal store doesn't have them, they either bit short or bit too long.

I'm thinking of getting a kit of ebay, but is it going to save me few quid getting them separately?

Many thanks

Matthew, any chances to see a picture of that engine stand?

The engines sit nicely enough with the oil filter housing and sump in situ, and as my shed is a bit of a mess I normally stick the oil filter back on as soon as that bit is clear of the frame, but still supported, minimalising the chances for dirt or dust to get in. I have about 8 500/550 engines stood like this awaiting either work or installation. I also like a very basic engine stand I picked up in a job lot that allows me to test engines complete with exhaust without installing it.

Thanks so much for your thoughts, def will check above. I wonder how would messed up gear box behave, I'm wondering as the kick starter doesn't make the noise every time I "kick it".

I will most likely have some time tomorrow night to check the bike, sadly work is getting in the way...
Again, thank you for helping me out.

It's interesting that while turning engine by the nut on generator , there was no noises, just when I use kick start.

Filled it up with oil, after few kicks there is loud bang sounds like form gearbox, like a jumping "teeth" somewhere.

Also, no oil appears in camshaft.

Gutted, and desperate to find solutions.

Big day today for me, engine in one piece and managed to squeeze it into the frame, next time will assembly cylinder block and head in frame... it was bloody hard work to fit whole engine in.

Any ways, was dying to give it few kicks and new oil so all is well lubed inside, as I was fitting new oil filter I found that I'm missing bits from inside of the oil filter bolt, valve check spring and pin.
I wonder how important are those parts, what are they actually doing? and if anyone like to sell them?

Also, what is best way to check if oil runs to the "top" I can't see any oil coming when I look thru tappet adjusting hole.
