BITSA, My "cylinder head gasket" turned up today.  This is what I got!!  Now in touch with them to sort it out.  According to the listing there are no more left.

No, it never moved on the tracking system so I contacted them.  They weren't certain what happened but it disappeared off the system so they shipped another on the 1st May.  Its on the tracking system and it looks like its left the USA.  It should be here soon - I hope!

Good luck with the weather for Sunday!!!  I went Saturday to keep clear of the rain - freezing,  didn't think much of it, it seems to be going down hill for me and I shan't go again .  The autojumble is reducing in amount and quality probably because of ebay although one or two did find what they needed.  Years ago when I did my Norton there was loads of stuff to root through.

Being a cheapskate we always take our own food and drink!!

Just checked on DS site, cost is now £86.80 including VAT for superceded part number 12251-300-306.  I have been told that the one I ordered yesterday from your link has been despatched from USA.

Thanks.  Just bought one to use in my rebuild instead of using the pattern part - let's see what turns up, worth the risk!  Just hope Postie doesn't decide to try and fold it!

Misc / Open / Re: Oil Leak Stop
« on: April 23, 2012, 08:03:40 PM »
it "restores" the elasticity to rubber type oil seals (swells them), Not certain if it changes viton products (wouldn't think so).  I can't see how it would cure leaks from the gaskets that are fitted to our 4s except for the rocker cover seal.  It was meant for "curing" leaks from crankshaft oil seals etc on cars.  Our local stockist says it works great for that but I wouldn't try it in our engine/gearbox combinations especially with the wet clutch

Now here's a thought; I wonder if it would work on my intake manifold rubbers if I soaked them in it?

If you have ordered taper roller bearings from D.S check the roller cage is not distorted and misaligning the rollers before fitting them.  Mine was and had to be returned.

I wonder who the bidder is?  He joined ebay less than 30 days ago.

What is it? / Re: Disc Cover

Why doesn't it fit?  It looks similar to the one on the K7 but the front lug shape looks a bit long.
