« on: August 22, 2011, 10:55:37 AM »
Hi. Guys,
Got the chrome plating back from Derby Plating, got to give them 9 out of 10 for their chroming.

Returned front mudguard said it was to far gone for chroming.

Ive noticed on ebay firm from Vietnam selling single cut mudguards @

As you say discovered plates should be same way, 2 days and 4 attempts got it sorted and of course a bit of blue air,  on to next bit.

Hi. Ash,

Re. Seat Foam from Moretti, emailed him and after a bit of a delay due to unforeseen circumstances from his end, he has finally managed to post of seat foam and seat cover, I was waiting for total with postage so I could pay,  then have them posted but he has sent them before even being payed, not many trusting folk like that around, one of the good guys, expect them soon.

Jury still out on where to send bits for re-chroming, will be down in your area whichever one I decide.

Thanks All for help and info.

Cheers Jock  ;D

Thanks All,
This is like a merry go round, same old story some good reports and some bad ones. Wish I had your knowledge and expertise Ash, as I would not know where to start, that is why I am looking for good reliable firm who can do it for me. Can see this is going to take a while just for me to decide where to send parts. I have little enough hair will end up with none soon.  :'(

Cheers Jock.

Thanks Hinomaru,

Wish I was in good old US of A, shipping parts there would cost me more than the parts were worth, great pity.

Hi Guys,

Me back again asked this question on post about KO tyres, but in case you all missed it was wondering if any of you enthusiasts knew of a really great re-chroming shop, all blogs and people I have spoke to so far give conflicting replies, one says best since sliced bread another don't touch with barge pole, so will ask again anyone know of a really! really! great at re-chroming.  :-\

Cheers Jock.
