EDIT: Yep, just looked in the book. The 400/4 has an 18" front.

That's a good description Nick.

If you have the bike in bits, another way is to hook the caliper to the garage ceiling so that all the pipework is above the master cylinder and then bleed in the normal way.

Be careful - I seem to recall that the tach ratios were different for the 500/500 and 750.

Bit of a pain really.

The "spokes" are steel and the rims alloy. They are riveted together.

I understand that you cannot take them apart.

Steering head bearings definitely!

I did them on my VFR800; it's not difficult.

You can easily damage the bearings by simply riding up a kerb - it's not necessarily a feature of miles covered.

Apologies to all new members but we have been suffering a concerted spam attack since the beginning of the month and have had to set the registration process to "approve by admin"

This means new registrants may have to wait for us to approve their details before being allowed to post.

Sorry about this - we are trying to get the anti-spam registration filters back on line as a recent site software upgrade seems to have rendered them inoperable...   :(

There is no pressure - it's just a grease seal for the front wheel.
