Just picked up tank, seat cowl and side panels from No.2 bike after getting painted. Decided to get done in Toyota Orange Twist 4W5 its the colour used on new Aygo Excite and is a 3 stage pearl finish. Looks like plain Orange but with a fine metallic finish which lights up in sunshine ![Cool 8)](http://www.sohc.co.uk/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I havnt yet decided whether to fit tank decals or not. I also have had a filler cover done in gloss black. I will gets some pics up, but looks lovely

Havnt fully decided the standard I am looking to achieve, as I know these are not so much in demand and I dont like spending more than they are worth, but usually do ![Embarrassed :-[](http://www.sohc.co.uk/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) Will certainly get frame and black painted parts powder coated and zinc plate all the sound fittings.

Thanks for all the positive comments and encouragement. Anyone who has tried a full rebuild/restore will know the highs and lows, but particularly the sense of satisfaction in bringing bikes back to life. I often ponder whether to just go for function or as close to original new look. I decided to keep the original seat cover as it was so good, but did powder coat the base as quite rusty. 2014_0621eng0057 by nitram2010, on Flickr 2014_0428cb750B40038 by nitram2010, on Flickr New clips and pc hinge. 2014_0627clips0017 by nitram2010, on Flickr I do love getting bits back from platers and powder coaters

Engine going back in. I decided to install minus covers, sump and exhaust studs to make it a bit easier. Used a U section bar I had under cam chain tensioner with ratchet straps to secure, plus lots of padding and protection. eng inst 110814019 by nitram2010, on Flickr eng inst 110814018 by nitram2010, on Flickr eng inst 110814017 by nitram2010, on Flickr eng inst 110814016 by nitram2010, on Flickr eng inst 110814014 by nitram2010, on Flickr Frame prepared eng inst 110814012 by nitram2010, on Flickr Used a split waste pipe to give extra protection to frame. eng inst 110814011 by nitram2010, on Flickr Tools ready eng inst 110814010 by nitram2010, on Flickr
