"the battery posts appear to bolt through vertical post (ie they don't bolt down from the top)"

yes they do, the battery comes with screws and fixing terminals, so you can have your terminals either on top or from the side or both sides. Can confirm excellent battery and worth investing in if your after a new one.

Hi Roy, just read your post regarding these, I have k7. Do you know if there was a problem with them?. Not enough gas? Or Spring not stiff enough. Thinking again now, don't want the hassle of the being woolly etc. I don't have disc on rear, just drum. Fancied having adjustable ride height and damping on my bike. Will think about this now maybe save more and get ikon shocks. Any one have these?

Excellent thanks, defo will get a set at end of month.

It's £140 for the adjustable ones or £100 for unadjustable pair, I think that's a bargain and British also. Defo thinking about this now. Roll on next payday

I brought a set from wemoto, HEL oil lines and fittings, will report later if they hold up. But they are wire braded and mini screw worm fittings , see link below. They are a bugger to fit and line up, very stiff to install, and the fittings are rubbish and don't fully tighten as the screws just keep turning. But they should hold ok for now and I will change them in the winter for better fitting oil lines. No leaks yet, but have not had the engine running yet. But when researching the same as you, found out that cyclexchange in us sells the hose by the ft which is what I may order later and new fittings. Or if I can find some same diameter pipe work will make up set myself.

Hi all, have been looking at these, looks like a fine set and can be rebuilt. Has anyone on here used or have these on there bike?. What are they like compared to originals or hagon. Looks a good deal to me to have these and adjustable too. Not bothered by the looks if they ride good. Thanks in advance

Most remote filling spots now have 24 hr self service in the highlands, always best to ask locals before heading up north if staying in camps sites, they will always inform you of next stops to fill at. Apple cross and Durness is one major filling stop on your list, Durness is also a beautiful spot to camp at with views over the North Sea and beach. Will be doing that again this summer.

What mileage are you getting to a tank over 100 miles?, sounds like a great day. Stuck in office all day, seen a few out and about on bikes on the way home.

Have you put the seals in the correct way when rebuilding the master cylinder?, one will be slightly larger than the other, and thicker.  Clean it out also with compressed air if possible.

Nice, weather looks quite good for us up north, rain for Friday. Sat and sun look good also a warm 8 deg. As long as it's dry then great.
