I've been trying to find info using the search button but no luck.  ???
Can anyone tell me what height the floats should be on my F1 and how you go about doing it?

Many thanks

CB750 / 750F1 update
« on: May 04, 2009, 12:54:10 PM »
After not managing to get my bike running last year (http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php?topic=1839.0) i totally lost interest, so I packed her away over the winter.
Anyway I'm back at it now, the carbs have been stripped and cleaned, and the engine is back on my kitchen table, the rocker cover is off to check the cam timing.
On inspection the cam chian was out by 1 tooth.
I've bought all the bits I need from DS to get it running. I'll keep you informed how the start up go's next week. :)

Misc / Open / 100mph
« on: May 02, 2009, 10:18:46 PM »
My young lad asked me a question today and I couldn't answer it "Which Bike was the first to do 100mph?"
I think it may have been A British machine but not 100% sure.
Any ideas?

Cheers

CB750 / loose wire
« on: May 01, 2009, 05:02:46 PM »
Hi
I've been trying to replace my throttle cable on my F1 and found two wires which have come loose.
One is coloured black and the other is green and yellow. They're located near front brake lever.
Has any one any idea where they're supposed to go? I can't find any thing on the wiring diagram.

Cheers

CB500/550 / Re: Forgotten just how much fun these bikes are!
« on: August 12, 2008, 07:33:57 PM »
When I was doing my bike test I was using a CBF500, I found that when we'd finished our days training  I could'nt lift a pot of tea my wrists were that bad. Non of that on the CB750 (till it broke.) Maybe it was I wasn't used to riding. These old bikes seem so comfy.

I should have a gallon can knocking about somewhere, I use it for R/C model plane building. I've recently moved house though, so it could be any where. It's not cheap getting it from model shops.
Thanks for the tips,

Andy. :)

Hi Steve, I've been in touch with DSS and sorted out some new caps. Replaced all four, just to make sure.
Den,thanks for the link, I'll order them plugs tomorrow.

Cheers

Andy.

P.S. Steve, how did it go in France? Hope you enjoyed it.

Hi Dave, it looks like they are resistor caps.
Den, where do you get your ND X-24ES-U plugs from? I've been looking through DS catalogue but he does'nt have them listed, only NGK's. My local spares shop does'nt stock them either.

Cheers

Andy
