Whilst I’m in the finishing stages of finishing the 5/70 restoration I thought it would be a great idea to crack on with another. Clearly I need help.

Anyway, this bike was purchased a couple of years ago from the US. Again a nice, relatively low mileage K0 - but this one has certainly seen it’s fair share of ‘mods’ over the years.

This one will end up being Candy Blue-Green.

The bike came to me in good running order, so again I decided not to go for a full engine rebuild on this occasion.

I have the original seat and the bike is shown with a K4–> seat temporarily fitted.

Somehow managed to pick this up over the weekend - a NOS CB750F HM392 Silencer.

This was the final piece of the jigsaw for my unrestored CB750 F1 with 2k miles.

Project Board / 5/70 CB750 K0 restoration

Thought I’d share some pictures of the latest K0 restoration from the stable. This was a tough call, but the bike was just too far gone to leave as a survivor.

These photos have been taken over the course of the past 6-weeks.

The bike was sourced by a friend of mine in Minnesota, from the second owner (who bought it and never rode it). It sat in his workshop for 35 years until I bought it.

The initial pictures look quite deceiving, and flatter the cosmetic condition. However, underneath is a lovely low mileage un-molested K0.

Most of my engines go off to Graham for a full rebuild - but in this case the engine is clearly correct for the indicated mileage and doesn’t warrant a full strip/rebuild. I feel I’ve done a few of these now to know where to make that judgement call and I’m confident she’ll run beautifully. But, it’s always a risk.

This is going to be my rider for the summer, and I have a Candy Gold Yamiya body set on the shelf, and a NOS set of HM300’s so these will adorn the bike in due course..

Project Board / Sandcast Seat Restoration

Just finished restoring a CB750 Sandcast Seat (using Yamiya red foam and seat cover) and thought I’d share a few pics.

Essentially at that remains of the original seat is the restored seat base and hinges / latch.

The Yamiya kit is superb - but bloody expensive.

But, like everything I guess you have to pay top whack for top quality.

The fitting took me 3-4 hours (test fitting, measure twice, cut once etc..) but I’m pretty chuffed with the finished results..

I would say this is well within the capabilities of pretty much anyone - just requires patience, thought and the right approach.

Afternoon all. I recently imported this KZ900 A4 from the USA - she is a one owner bike with 3392 miles, purchased from the widow of the original owner.

The bike starts and runs nicely; everything works. This is a totally original bike, but does require some cosmetic restoration as has been stored for many years and not used.

There are scratches/marks to the original paint on the tank. Tear on front LHS leading edge of seat (looks to have a temporary repair)

the chrome is generally good (I've not detailed the bike or polished the chrome) - sadly the exhausts will need replacing or repairing as the chrome is peeling/lifting and the silencers on RHS are holed (lower RHS is worst).

All original parts are fitted/date codes all correct.

The mileage is 3392 miles and is genuine. I have the US title and am just waiting for the NOVA certificate to arrive from HMRC in the next few days (all duties/taxes have been paid in full).

I originally intended to restore this, but funds required for my next project.

This would make a great bike to just service, re-commission and ride-as is (obviously will need new tyres and a thorough service) or as the basis for a concours restoration. your choice.

I've ridden the bike around the yard, the clutch engages nicely, and she has all of the gears etc.

Member 4 Sales / Honda CB500/4 K0 - very early/low mileage

Offering another 500/4 K0 for sale. This is a very early ‘square’ case bike, vin #2064. 3592 miles. Engine has great compression and none of the case bolts are touched. Still wearing its original factory tyres by the looks of it.

Was purchased from an estate sale in the US about 4 years ago and I’ve had it set aside as one to restore - but I’m having a big sell-up (selling pretty much everything). If it doesn’t sell I’ll eventually restore it and sell.

Missing a couple of bits (most notably the exhaust brackets and rear pillion pegs).

A great bike to restore.

Member 4 Sales / CB500 / CB550 Project bikes

Afternoon chaps. Having a bit of a clear out of smaller project bikes (500/550). I have 4 bikes that I intend to move-on. No mad rush to sell - if they don’t go for what I need back from them I’ll eventually get round to restoring or recommissioning them..

I’ll try and get some better photos in the next week or so as time/weather allows..

1) CB500/4 K0 JDM - is a Japanese Market (JDM) bike that is extremely rare. From memory around 19k miles. Candy Gold. 4-2 exhaust.

2) CB500/4 K0 - this is a later K0, in brown, 9k miles. 4-2 exhaust.

3) CB500/4 K0 - very very early K0 (2xxx vin range) with only 2000 miles. Brown.

All three will need cosmetic restoration and a set of repro HM323 4-4 exhausts as a minimum.

4) Alternatively, I’ve also got a ‘76 CB550 due in late next week, with 6000 miles, totally original. Will need some repairs to the pipes. Looking for £4K.

All bikes have the original US title and NOVA paperwork and were personally imported by me. The engines are totally sound on all 4 bikes. All are runners , or were when they came in from the US - If any are of interest I will ensure they are sold in nice running condition (I have a spare set of cleaned reference carbs I will fit).

Price wise they are between £3-4k.

I bought this bike earlier in the year from DK - original purchase invoice for £2850 available.

I’ve basically cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, rebuilt the front brakes, changed the oil, fitted a new battery and cleaned the tank.

She runs like a Swiss watch - I honestly think this is the quietest sohc4 engine I’ve ever heard in terms of the engine.

I’d like £3250 back on her.

Comes with Original US title and NOVA number so you can UK register her (I can assist with filling out the paperwork).

This kit includes Pistons, Liners, Rings, Gaskets. Everything required for a 900cc upgrade.

The liners are tapered, so don't required machining of the engine cases (as far as I’m aware, but Graham will I’m sure chime in here )

Have been working on this on and off for a few weeks. Just rebuilding the carbs / master cylinder before firing her up next week. Nice, original paint example has been fun to work on...

1999 BMW R1150GS in very good condition. The bike has a full service history will all receipts has 11 months MOT with no advisories. 2 new tyres were fitted last summer, and have done around 800 miles on these. My brother is the third owner of the bike (selling on his behalf).

The bike has completed 50,000 documented miles. It's the ABS model, but the system was disconnected by the previous owner due to the well documented issues with these systems. If you wish to reconnect then it should be a straightforward process.

The heated grips both work well, and get very hot when needed.

If you're looking at this advert, you'll know what these bikes are capable of. This one comes with a full service history, the original BMW hard luggage which is operated by the ignition key. It also comes with a Givi topbox which is operated from a separate key.

I have both original keys plus the red master key.

The bike is in overall very good condition throughout, and has some nice extras that will come with it :
