Hi, can anybody recommend a good aftermarket reg /rec for a K7.

Have you tried. Electric World?
I have their products on several of my bikes. No complaints.

Dont forget you need a different type if you use one of the daft lion batteries

If your’re interested in keeping an original look, try Horst Pilsner here: http://www.cbfourclub.de/boerse/756.htm.

His ad for modernised regulator and rectifier is about half way down. I have used these for about 25,000+ rugged kms now and they work well.

The he regulator gets to max charging current at about 2000rpm, which improves (in my view and experience) the bike’s ability to keep the battery charged.
