1st ride out this year on Hettie and what a cracking ride it was as well. Beautiful weather here in Lincs , no cars on the roads, only what seemed like millions of bikes. Hettie is running spot on. It was just perfect.

Nice photos Julie and a lovely day for a rideout - missed the opportunity today as the boys and came over for a visit and we went out for a walk - tomorrow looks to be a cold one!

It has been a cracking day. I will stay indoors and do some housework tomorrow when it's cold. I flatly refuse to do domestic duties when it's bike riding weather.

Thanks Phil. She hasn't had a wash or clean since late last spring, I must put it on Grahams 'to do list' 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Wasn't Graham at home doing the chores?
Assumed he was as not in the pictures....

I wish Tim. Graham was there as well but he was on one of the CD250u's and I didn't want it to spoil the pic of Hettie 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Spoil it with the bike or Graham!😁

Looked lovely. I got sunburned today lazing about on the patio.

Decided to give the 350/4 an airing today - 20 degrees in Orkney, 10 in the morning and 10 in the afternoon  8). I actually prefer the 350 to the 400, the bars are taller and slightly wider so you can actually see behind you and the 5 speed box suits me better.  It seems a bit 'softer' on the road too - perhaps the rear dampers are more knackered!
Anyway, I pootled out to the Broch of Gurness over the Birsay moors and watched a male hen harrier circling and quartering - probably looking for an Orkney vole for lunch.

Clear blue skies and vivid blue water - fabulous!

Wonderful photos from the magical Orkney Isles, the weather looks fantastic.

Had a motorcycle touring holiday up there and camped at Point of Ness, drunk at the bierfest in Stromness Hotel and visited archeological sites older than the Egyptian pyramids.
It's a beautiful place to be.

Your 350 looks good as well!

Yes, we are really lucky to live in such a wonderful place - over 15 years of living in our paradise!  Having said that your location is pretty impressive too - we have toured that area many times by GoldWing and stayed in Cesky Krumlov and further north in Kralupy a few times - lovely people and great food and beer!  First time ever for us on a double decker train from Kralupy to Prague.

I can see why he would have said that but hadn't come across that particular quote. Although I have both the 400 and 350 and like many, love that frontal view of the 4 pipe 'bunch of bananas' on the 400, when you walk around the left side it just doesn't look finished!  The 350 looks good from any angle - to me anyway.  We have quite a few on this forum but obviously nowhere near as many as the 400's
