400/4 adjuster
« on: April 03, 2023, 02:53:10 PM »
You will ssee in the photo that my spare set of carbs has an adjuster that is just too long. (one next to it is, I believe the correct one - robbed from another bike of mine!)
Anyone got a spare short one? Oh and yes, which bike takes the longer one?

One on the right looks like the one fitted to the 500/550 bank of carbs.

The one on the left TBH looks exactly like the ones fitted to the R/H switchgear of the 500 and 750 for holding the throttle open.

I might have an old one lying around, they were originally chromed but it's mostly wore off now, can you measure it, it's a 5mm screw but how long from under the head to the end of the threads.

Just cheked Matt and they are not the same, the one I have has a large shoulder on it and not that much thread. One on the right is definitely off the 500/550. Ted may have one, think he's got a broken set of 400 carbs.

Steve is sending me the part together with another item I need. Checked Roo's 550 and the bigger adjuster is the same as the 550 and the smaller is as per 400....
