Just got the artwork through from the manufacturers. Don't forget, these are just 2D digital images, the real badges are fully embroidered so the side panel badge part will stand away from the backing twill or cloth. This is the way it looks now. The background is this material. Just so you can get a visual of the finished badge. I thought black would be better at first but then the edge of the badge gets lost with black on black etc and I wanted a colour that wouldn't show dirt that badly. The gold border is this thread. The chrome lettering is done is metallic thread. The orange F part in this thread. And these are the final images for me to chose between.I asked them to change the odd bits on the border, the little pinched bit on the 5 and the outline of the F to reflect what the actual badge looks like, it's surrounded by a raised chrome border. This arrived this morning.I now have to chose which version looks the best. Hence why I'm posting. The bottom pic is closer to the actual badge but the top pic has the F part better defined. What do you think?
Unfortunately I will have to pass on this one Ken. I still have my old bodywarmer (remember them, Barry Sheene used to wear one over his race leathers) that I used to wear to Wimbledon Speedway back in the 80’s, it is full of the metal badges I used to buy at the time including the ‘Happiness is 40-38’ classic
I would definitely buy a 400four badge in the side panel font, maybe a SOHC one as well. Great idea. 👍
I was banned from cafepress a while back for making 500 Four t-shirts using a photoshopped version of the side panel badge. They said it was copyright Honda. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is interesting read too https://fabrikbrands.com/copyright-vs-trademark/ and whether the 500 Four on this badge is protected without having "Honda" also there, that may be more nuanced.
