What is this rack from?
« on: September 10, 2015, 03:37:49 PM »
Bought some assorted spares recently which included this rack.
Looks like it could be a Rickman from the style and construction but what is it off?
The shape of the indicator mounts may give a clue but I don't recognise them.
Any suggestions?

It looks similar to the rack a friend removed from his Suzuki GT550.

Was that job lot from a guy in Birmingham from ebay? Tyres exhaust etc. If so nearly bid on it first time round then ended listing early when relisted.....? Good buy if so.

Yes it was.
Contacted him and he did a BIN, he wanted shot of the stuff as about to move house. I didn't see the listing first time round.
Interestingly the guy had an ex-Motability Mercedes Vito, converted for wheelchair use but he used it to transport his bike.
The exhaust from the collection has already gone to someone on here.
Don't think the tyres were any use, trying to make sense of the date code on the rear one, the front was well past its best.

Having time is one of the few positives of redundancy and being unable to find work.
Were there any specific parts you would have been after?

No not specifically. Just "in case" stuff for when I actually get round to restoration.

Good luck with job search. What field?

I developed software but couldn't find work in the Midlands and not willing or able to work away or relocate.
After nearly 5 years it's not going to happen, but that's how life is so get on with it.

Back at the original topic, I still don't know what the rack is from!
There was a receipt for some KH250 parts in with the other spares, could be a possibility.
