If you nip along to your nearest space station, they can knock this job out in a couple of minutes and can do it on the bike ;D ;D

Many thanks for all of the advice, it is just easy for me to ask the aero engineer to weld it as he visits our hangar a couple of times a week and I am often around there anyway.

I've got a steering stem just restored with POR15, but no steering lock or capacity for one. It's on my 500.
If you want it I'll post just pay for the postage.

Mick, that's extremely kind of you. Please let me know how much to send and I will do so, either with a cheque or via Pay Pal if you prefer (my daughter has an account, I although I have never opened one). I am in Norfolk, so UK mainland postal or courier rates will apply, whatever they happen to be.

I'm not concerned about the lack of a steering lock, I always carry a "U" lock that fits through the rear wheel and around a shock absorber leg.
