Intro

Hello all,

First of all a very healthy and safe 2007.
Like to inroduce myself at this forum. My name is Rob Bosschieter and come from the Netherlands. Ride bikes for 32 years, Jes... am I that old?!  Have 2 CB900F's, a beautiful French, sorry for that, Voxan Caferacer, and am building a replica of a '74 endurance racer out of a scrap CB750SOHC. I am planning to give this bike a go at the CLASSIC BIKERS DAYS at the famous Franchorchamps circuit in Belgium. At this moment I'm building the engine and most of the work on the rest is done. Try having the frame sandblasted over the coming weeks and the tank, seat and fairing ready for painting.
Hope I can find out how to put a picture in.

Hello Phil,
The colour scheme will be like the JOEY DUNLOP helmet-scheme, so yellow and black. Think it will look great together with my (original) \"Yer-Maun\" replica helmet. The original bike also was yellow/black, but a slightly different shade of yellow. It is not my intention to build an exact replica but a bike that is build 'in the spirit' of the '70 24 Hour of OSS in the Netherlands.

Hello Jim,
The Spa weekend is held over 3 days, 29 & 30th of June and 1st of July. It is not really a race but more of a 'memorial' for the bikes, and riders from the past.

Hello John,
This is a picture of a few months ago. It's a K2 frame which I have strengthed and lightened a bit. Front fork is of a 750DOHC because of the better mounting possibility for the front brakes, which are now GRIMECA, which lookalike the Lockheed on the back. On the picture are Brembo's. Front wheel is a SMAC 18\" magnesium wheel, which I am not going to use because of the age of the wheel. Magnesium tend to corrode over the years and the possible cracking of the wheel doesn't appeal to me. Use it just for 'static' showing. Have a Kim Tap alloy wheel in front now. On the back is a German RONAL wheel. Have build a square section swingarm myself.

Have made a lot of pictures of the building process.

Just received my new Scitsu rev counter, Think it looks great. Maybe a bit optimistic on the rev scale.

I don't think the F1 valve assembly change much from the orginal design. I'vr been using the figures:
Inner springs 38.1 mm, with a wear limit of 37.0 mm
Outer springs 41.2 mm, with a wear limit of 40.0 mm

BTW where did you get the fairing from
