Oil pressure dropped

Had bike running today just in garage oil pressure was 60 then on tick over 20 but after 5 mins dropped down to 0 .but when reved goes back into 20 .is it because it got too hot .

Low oil pressure at idle is not uncommon on warm/hot high mileage engines, if pressure returns above idle nothing much to worry about according to Honda manual. If however the engine has recently been rebuilt I would certainly investigate further!

It has had top end rebuild new piston rings .valve guides .

Did you replace crank/conrod shells? What sort of shape were they in? It's those parts being worn that give rise to very low oil pressure, pistons/rings etc have no effect on oil pressure

K2-K6:
Leave it to get cold again and try it to see if it gets back to 60 when first started with it cold to give you more of a read of the situation.

The top end should not have so much influence on absolute oil pressure as it uses restrictor jets in the supply to the head to help maintain pressure for the bottom end.......... You have installed the restrictors to the head during rebuild I guess?
