It looks like it should also go to the battery, along woth the red, to sense the battery voltage - to measure if it needs charging or not. But that's only an educated guess.

Hi Mike and anyone else interested in this, I've found this online. Does this make sense to you? It seems to work on paper but this is way above my knowledge. Knew I should of sent more time on electronic systems.
