Historic Vehicle Tax renewal

We did one over the internet, had to pay and then wait for a refund . We only went this route as the old dear at the post office said it couldn't be done there!!! Such porkies 😊😊😊 I have known others that did it at the PO so I will go that way next time, a lot easier by the sounds of it.

My Post Office couldn't do it either, there wasn't any way of doing it on their computer - no button for it or whatever. Funny how some Post Offices can do it while other can't.

I wonder if it's because some are main PO's and some are sub PO's ?

It was just at a local po where you can tax a vehicle. ....not a small sub po .
Just to clarify. ..the lady retained the v5 and sent it off for me..and a shiny new one with historic vehicle in print turned up about a fortnight later.

That must be it then, I think the one i went to was a sub PO, not much bigger than a phone box, nor was the village it was in 😃😃😃
