This 500/4 guru in York with an absolutely pristine CB500K1 gave James and myself info on early 500's. I emailed him about what finish he had on a couple of the parts and he said no problem, I'll check.  it's sitting right next to me in my lounge!

I have lost the plot on this Radio thread Ash. What's sitting right next to you in the lounge and what has a CB500K1 got to do with you vintage radio buffs? 

Read the past posts carefully  .. Pete's visit to Hull ..hoarding things / being obseesive .. it was the guy in York who had the 500K1 sitting next to him !

Had a good laugh at the 8 bikes and 27 bikes (owned by you two) and told the tale to my Missus.

Her response....along with a steely eyed stare was - 'Don't get any ideas'!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell her if she thinks Pete and myself are mad, hoarding obsessives, then she ought  to meet this 500/4 guru in York with an absolutely pristine CB500K1. He gave James and myself info on early 500's. Nooooooo, I'm still sarf of the Humber. I actually consider being south of the Thames as being 'down South' having lived down there for 54 of the past 55 years, I will always consider myself a 'Southerner'
