Rob62:
Managed to get some paint onto the engine yesterday..... its not perfect but will have to do.... looks very silvery and hopefully will dull off a little once its been cured and used a bit... stuck the cases on just to see the overall effect

Rob62:
A couple of weeks ago i contacted Sean of Agbrigg chrome....i have a few parts that need sorting... I was thinking that the winter restorations might be slowing down a bit and he may be able to get my stuff done pretty quickly. Unfortunately the forecast was between 5 and 10 weeks depending on the amount i have... So i decided to contact the local plater Castleford Chrome to see if he was also busy. Sadly I discovered that they were closed down, the poor chap had ended his own life, very sad. So I then decided to try Allenchrome, widely promoted on here.... unfortunately they have a 16 to 20 week turnaround!... So, last Thursday i dropped my stuff off with Sean, he looked at it and told me 2 weeks, I was more than happy with that.. This morning, less than a week later, i get a text from Sean “your bits are ready”.... Sean managed to turn it round in record time. Here it is, very happy, I can def recommend Agbrigg Chrome!

JamesH:
Looks like he’s done a lovely job there Rob. Those exhaust clamps are usually a nightmare. Good job.

Arch stanton:
You had a lucky escape.
I once used Castleford Chrome. After the mess they made of my stuff. Then tried to rectify the mess by making more mess.
I felt like doing myself in!
Your project is looking good.
Sean.

Spitfire:
They look great, nothing beats getting nice shiny bits back from the platers.

Cheers

Dennis
