Starter solenoid/Voltage regulators

I know they are different part numbers but can anybody advise if the 500 starter solenoid is the same or more heavy duty than a 400 one. Or are they interchangeable?
Voltage regulators, same question?

You won't have a problem interchanging starter solenoids. The original electromagnetic regulator may not interchange though or if it does it may need tweaking.

Connectors on reg point a different way otherwise same
