carb cleaner

Hi, can you buy carb cleaner in a large can? I can only find it in small bottles and I need enough to do all four carbs. I found a product called Berrymans carb and parts cleaner on the other site, is this avialable in the UK? Also what can I use to get the black paint off?  I think they should be bare metal .

I've only ever used carb cleaner in an aerosol.

I soaked all the jets in cellulose thinners and then blew them out using the carb cleaner and then finally with compressed air.

On the interior of the carbs I used an aerosol carb cleaner folowed up with a polish using my Dremel and an abrasive brush (not wire brush) these are very good for polishing up alloy without causing serious scratches and leaving bits of brush behind, then a final polish with Solvol.
On the exterior I used lolly sticks, Brillo pads, Solvol on small buffing wheels in the Dremel and the same abrasive wheel in the Dremel. It was'nt fast but it got the job done, here's some pics.

soak them in cheap cola, then use spray carb cleaner, silver hook stuff is pretty fierce just be sure to use safety gogles.

At least two of the pound shops near me (what does that tell you about the area . . . ?) stock all kinds of aerosol cans of cleaners - brake, carb, tar, wheel, etc.  Bargains galore.

They also sell one litre spray bottles of engine degreaser.  Pour a bottle of that into a bucket with half a litre of parafin and there's very little that solution won't clean.

I bought a gallon can of cellulose thinners from Kempton Park autojumble last year. Even though I was on my bike, you have to get this stuff when you find it!

I should have a gallon can knocking about somewhere, I use it for R/C model plane building. I've recently moved house though, so it could be any where. It's not cheap getting it from model shops.

I have done tests and Simple Green is very impressive at removing fuel varnish. You can use it indoors with no concerns. I am not sure it is available in the UK.
