Repro tanks?

Hello.
After receiving the somewhat disappointing news from Manno, that my tank is effectively scrap.
I'm thinking about a repro 750k1 tank from David Silver.
Has anyone here used one?
Are there any drawbacks?
Your views will be appreciated.
