ricardo:

all advice exceptional.  sadly she's waiting for a train connection at Crewe
Ricardo

Trigger:
Don't drain the oil until you know were the leak is coming from  :o Clean the area and a puff of talc powder will show were it is wet  ;)

ricardo:
I'm pretty sure that I know. Stain on white plate and drip visible over join of the 2 parts

mattsz:
If Nurse Julie is correct that there are multiple possible sources of the leak hiding behind the cover, then I'm guessing Trig's suggestion is a wise one - if you drain the oil first, you may not be able to determine which seal or o-ring might be the culprit...

Nurse Julie:
Yes, oil leaks can be deceiving as to where they originate from. Dr Ricardo, i am sure you don't really mean 'sadly' she's on her way home...tut tut. Us women need our space. I am in Estonia at present for respite 😀😀😀😀😀
