Yes the cam notch looks in the correct place.
The T mark is for Top Dead Centre, the F mark is a few degrees before TDC which is the timing mark.
Check that the cam lobes for #1 are in a position that would leave the valves closed (if the tappets were adjusted) - the set up is for TDC #1
Make sure that you turn the engine clockwise (looking from the direction of the photo so that the slack is at the rear of the cam chain (ie if you past the mark, go all the way around again!)
