If you let me have the Reg No and maybe a photo of the bike I will put on the Z1 OC forum, I know the club has a registry of Zeds owned by members.

Consider it done Phil, I'll let you know if I get any feedback - 'Snap' with the 70's pornstar tache and hair, but they do go with the platforms!   ;D

mike the bike:
I refitted my rechromed frilly bits too.  As well as the re zincked swing arm bolt and disc bolts/nuts.  Gave it an hour's cleaning up and went out on an essential journey for an hour.
I then spent a couple of hours cleaning up the shed.   I can now see the bench and most of the floor.
