If they came from UK they wont be 500 carbs, the 500 K3 never came to UK.
If you remove those screws there is a spring, a washer and a tiny O ring on there All are necessary

Cheers Bryan, yes I remember these when I stripped the carbs. They were all replaced, the bike is running well but not starting well when cold. I do have resistor plugs fitted at the moment but have another set of non resistor plugs to fit. Also dropping back to correct pilot screw setting might help. Thanks for your help!
