The fact Trig pointed out about the kickstart being a spline or two out of position probably means the clutch cover has been off to free up the plates at the very least, so what else has been messed with is anybody's guess. When Honda UK stored it away it was "just an old model" at the time, probably why it wasn't stored better.

I watched the auction on line and even though the auctioneer said it was a 'museum piece', even he was very, very surprised at what it made.
