Electric rattle guns - recommendations please??

I started off my life on the tools with a company set "snail" brand Whitworth spanners, soon to be followed by a modern set of F.T. Williams slimline spanners, then I slowly built up my first set of !/2 drive sockets from the army surplus stores, all with little arrows stamped on them.

Looks like a custom paint-job...

ST it was the next generation that were red and white.

I wouldn't like to solder surface mount components with that iron.
