I had a Zundapp Bella and a Durkopp Diana in the 1980's but always lusted after the Maicoletta, i know i'm a bit odd !!

They've quite a sharp and clattering combustion as they run fairly "optimal" in terms of mixture.
A bit like the 400 Honda kart engines in that respect, all really grunty instantly available torque right off the bat from tick over.
Can hardly move for scooters now round here with so many delivery services in action, just herds of them.

Bit off topic I know but Maicoletta ... Maico Letter ;D (from Honda Japan) ... as below. The start of Honda in the UK probably (initially 'Hondis' before they got stuffed by Honda GMBH.
